Getting Your California Real Estate Brokers License

As long as you do not have a criminal record, and are over age 18, you should be able to get your California real estate brokers license. That said, before you apply for the exam, you will have to prove that you have either enough experience or sufficient educational background in your chosen career. Typically, in order to obtain your brokers license, you will need either a 4 year degree in real estate sales, or 2 years of full time real estate sales experience.

If you have worked in real estate sales for 2 to 4 years, you may not need to attend classes in order to receive your California real estate brokers license. All you will need to do is prove that you were employed in this capacity in the state of California sometime in the last five years. Even if you only worked part time, you may still receive some credit through the state towards your experience requirements.

Individuals that do not have enough experience hours will have to take eight core classes in order to make up for the lack in experience. As you study this list of courses, you may find that you know enough about the materials to request credit for prior experience. Typically, you can ask for prior experience evaluation at any college that you matriculate into. Aside from saving a good bit of money, you can also save time when you take advantage of these options.

Studying at a Conventional College

In today's economy, you may find it very difficult to get a job as a real estate marketer. Under these circumstances, if you are serious about getting your California real estate brokers license, you will have to attend college classes. • Make use of onsite learning support and academic centers to help you study

• Enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities

• Live on campus and obtain cheap health insurance coverage

Studying Online

During the process of studying for your California real estate brokers license, you are bound to find all kinds of colleges that offer the required classes online. As long as the college and the curriculum are certified as acceptable by the State of California, you can get the credits you need without attending conventional classes. For the most part, this solution will be ideal for those looking to save money and time.

Once you decide that you want your brokers license, you will need to follow state guidelines in order to achieve your goal. In most cases, you will find most challenges are associated with satisfying the educational/experience requirements. That said, even if you have never worked in a real estate office, you can still take classes that will enable you to sit for the California real estate brokers license exam.
